The original idea behind the ANTIDŌT Sneaker Freshener was a "DeadStock smelling" shoe deodorizer for sneakerheads. Glue and leather are critical components of the DeadStock scent and a big part of the inspiration behind the ANTIDŌT collection. The collective DeadStock fragrance (glue & leather) has been something we've been trying to perfect since the inception of the brand in 2016. In late 2022, it finally began to materialize...

 

SNKR-Glue

We restarted to work on the sneaker glue portion of this project heavily during the pandemic in 2020. Through a lot of research, we went down a deep rabbit hole and found ourselves partnering with a high-end perfume company in Europe. Needless to say, it was a very expensive R&D process. Lots of back and forth, but we feel we nailed it as close as we could to what we wanted.

After numerous rounds of testing, we believe this scent encapsulates that fresh "new-ness" whiff you get with that unique smell of sneaker glue.





Scent Notes [SNKR-Glue] DeadStock Fresh Glue - A strong synthetic fresh glue scent that's delicately balanced with a touch of sweetness. This addicting "nose-hit" experience was inspired by the DeadStock smell of Nike HyperAdapt.

Fresh Since... 
The "Fresh Since" themed ANTIDŌT in collaboration with Since Apparel is also a play on the 90s nostalgic sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" starring Will Smith who famously wore the Air Jordan 5 in the early episodes. We felt the nostalgic era and sneaker tie-in was just right. AJ5 collab decal included.

Scent Notes [Fresh Since...] DeadStock Leather - The scent can be best described as the essence of what a sneakerhead experiences when opening up a fresh box of DeadStock kicks. It's like stepping into a sneaker stockroom at your local footwear store. The freshener smells of real, thick, genuine, quality leather that's been bottled (and sneakerheads know most releases nowadays are unfortunately missing that scent). Spray a few pairs, close your eyes and imagine yourself being in the middle of a room filled with your favorite pairs of DeadStock sneakers. In Chris's words, "A pure leather smell, like an old watch strap, purses, boots. When a shoe smells like that, then you know they used some really good sh-t."
